Which PCs and phones work?
A PC with Windows 10 (version 1809 or newer) or Windows 11, on normal and ARM PCs, and an Android phone or tablet with Android 8 or later.
How does my phone connect to my PC?
Over Bluetooth first. If your PC doesn’t answer over Bluetooth (some PCs can’t host the connection, or Bluetooth is off), the phone switches to Wi-Fi by itself. For Wi-Fi, your phone and your PC need to be on the same Wi-Fi, set as a Private network in Windows. Guest networks often block devices from seeing each other.
Is there anything it can’t control?
Windows doesn’t let any app control administrator windows, like Task Manager, or the lock screen. Control My PC can’t either.
Does it work with a Mac too?
Yes. The same Android app controls a Mac with the free Control My Mac app for macOS 14 or later, from controlmymac.com.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no account and no sign-up, on the phone or on the PC.
What’s free, and what does Full App add?
Essentials is free: trackpad movement, click and right click, the basics of the Live and Draft keyboards, one Grid button, a Launcher preview, dark mode, accent colours and Help Mode. Full App adds scrolling, the full Grid with app grids and Auto-Switch, the Launcher and window switching without upgrade prompts, keyboard shortcuts, full gestures, presets and quick controls. The PC app is free.
What does Full App cost?
Try Full App free for 7 days with Monthly or Yearly, or take Lifetime, a single purchase. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. Prices vary by country, and Google Play shows yours before you buy.
How do the codes on this site work?
Join our news emails and we send you a personal Google Play code for a free month of Full App. Redeem it with the link in the email, or in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions › Redeem code. One code per email address, and Google Play shows what the code gives you before you confirm. Details in the Privacy Policy.
Is my data private?
Yes. No account, no ads, no tracking, no servers. What you type and do goes straight from your phone to your PC, encrypted, and nowhere else. Details in the Privacy Policy.
